Michael ran a good race, but an incident in the pits cost him a few laps, finishing 15th. On his first pit stop, the clutch slipped and he ran over ventman Ty Manseau, who luckily was wearing a helmet. Manseau was taken to the hospital, but was ok, only sustaining minor injuries. As for the race, Paul Tracy ran the final 5 laps with the fuel warning light on to take the victory, his first in over 2 years.
